Time to be grateful and celebrate (November 2019)

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here. Halloween is long gone and the malls are already decorated for Christmas. But tomorrow we get a great gift, the gift of time. We can slow things down in order to take a moment to reflect on all the things that we are thankful for. I hope you will be with the people you love, enjoying good food & drink, some crisp late fall weather, and another Cowboys’ loss! I have so much to be thankful for, starting with my family. I am grateful for all the wonderful relationships in my life: my family, friends, business partners, and clients. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by so many good, caring people. I hope you will have some time tomorrow or over the weekend to reflect on what is good in your life. And if there are some special people that you won’t be seeing over Thanksgiving, call or e-mail or text them to let them know how much they mean to you. You’ll both be glad you did. Whether you plan on kicking off your holiday shopping season on Black Friday or after the calendar hits December (which is already this Sunday!), be sure to first read our article on ‘Tips for Avoiding Common Holiday Cyberscams’. And let’s not forget those who are in need. There are many who won’t be able to enjoy a good Thanksgiving meal without the generosity of others. You can donate food at your local food bank, raise money by running a Turkey Trot or serve meals at a soup kitchen to name a few ideas. I would love to hear about what you and your families do at this time of year to help others. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving! Best Regards, Gabor
